I am not really romantic at all, said Georgie. It was a beautiful summer wedding and we sat in the sun drenched gardens waiting for her new hubby to bring her drink, her handbag and to call her friends for some sunset pictures… It’s obvious that Mark adores his new wife. His speech, which was apparently paired down, still had everyone in tears as he was talking about his love for Georgie.
This self-confessed non-romantic bride looked stunning… all lace and little braids and strappy sparkly heels. She laughed and she shed some tears. Danced to Abba tunes and didn’t fuss about the cake or the lighting in the reception or the evening band starting later than expected… She was just very, very happy. It was obvious she loves her new husband to bits. Even if she is not going to be writing a romanic dedication to him any time soon 🙂
It was my first time photographing at the St Peter’s church in Heswall. I know the area well. This is where one of my favourite local seafood restaurant – Sheldrakes – serves a mean lobster thermidor. The views from the church were stunning – right over sea marshes to North Wales. After the wedding ceremony we drove through Chester to the Grosvenor Pulford. As always, the Grosvenor Pulford laid out a splendid reception in the stunning gardens. It was great to hear some lovely music in the garden from the band while we took some beautiful pictures of the couple and their guests. I was quite pleased to catch one or two shots of other couples kissing in the gardens. Romance and love was well and truly alive at this lovely summer wedding!
Enjoy the pictures.
