I am really lucky to have been joining couples for their wedding celebrations in Combermere Abbey for many years now. I feel like I know this magical place really well: not only the impressive and unique glasshouse, but also their fruit trees, the walks outside the walls, the many paths to the mere and so much more.
Coming over for Leanne and Nick’s wedding in Combermere Abbey at Christmas time I knew that there will be little in terms of tree colour and a short winter day will mean that we will be unlikely to go to the mere. I was not sure even if the guests will be keen to spend much time in the maze, aftwerall – it was middle of winter!
However, I needn’t have been concerned. The bridesmaids wore some loooovely fur stoles, excitement and generous hot mulled wine kept all guests warm. We whizzed around the beautiful gardens before the darkness fell and managed to take some stunning sunset pictures as well as capture the magic of Combermere Abbey’s gardens at twilight.
Leanne kept smiling all day. He warmth and her smile shone like the brightest star that winter night!
Thank you for having me around, guys.
These are some of my favourite pictures from your day.
