From Chester wedding photographer to Chester Fashion photographer
I have a regular pleasure of being a Chester wedding photographer. I love my brides and always look forward to creating natural, relaxed, documentary photography for my couples at their weddings. There is often a small army of creative people who set the stage for the biggest day of each couple’s life. And I love capturing their dream day for posterity.
However, I am always thrilled to shoot something new, something different. To re-discover my fashion roots and be a fashion photographer for a day or two is my idea of having a good time and shooting for myself. Recently a perfect opportunity came when Matthew O’Brien – a high fashion womenswear couture designer, based in Chester – decided he wanted to do something grand, something unprecedented, something to impress his discerning clients – to stage a fashion show in the Chester Cathedral.
I was invited to collaborate and create some edgy, attention grabbing images at the shoot prior to the show as well as photograph the fashion show itself.
Surprisingly, the fashion show at the Chester Cathedral had lots in common with a wedding in the Chester Cathedral. You can see my Chester Cathedral wedding HERE. Again there was a small army of creatives setting the stage. Precise timings, to keep the beautifully dressed guests happy and entertained. Canapés, bubbly, hats, sparkles (real and otherwise), all the eyes on the aisle in great anticipation…
Of course we had more than one amazing dress to feast our eyes on during the fashion show and the ever-so-slightly-blushing star of the show came at the very end of it. The whole evening was a great success! Enjoy the photographs and we look forward to the next event!!
