Most magical and romantic cities in the world. VENICE
Have you been to Venice? May be you got engaged in Venice? Or perhaps you are preparing for your honeymoon in Venice? Whether you have seen St Marco’s square or dreaming about it, I’d like to show you what a destination photographer in Venice can see and do.
Documentary destination photography paradise
That Saturday morning I saw Venice as a stunning professional actress. She presented herself in full view with the spending sunrise illuminating her silk robes, feather trimmings and glittering jewels. Venice opened her arms and yet she has hidden her soul. Her face was covered. Ageless. Absolutely breathtaking. Hundreds of ladies and gents (some gents dressed as ladies, I strongly suspect) floated over the narrow streets and piazzas transforming the ancient modern day jewel of a place to it’s original splendour. It was magical.
Gondolas, Water taxi, Water buses, kayaks
Turn around the corner and you will see a bus stop…. Only that its not what you would normally see, of course. You brain is not quick enough to adjust that the the tiny little shelter it used to associate with the words “bus stop” looks completely different in Venice. The sheer number of various water boats is staggering and fascinating. From the early morning deliveries of hotel’s laundry to the lavishly decorated gondolas, fit for a princess or a bride – all find their place on the canals of Venice. Gondoliers and bus drivers all seem to know each other and cheerfully exchange ciao‘s as well as local news. Busy, friendly, happy, singing, chatting and really polite boatsmen. Fascinating to watch!
