This was supposed to be a little preview post of a half a dozen of best wedding photographs from Ali and Holly’s wedding who got married in Combermere Abbey recently. As it happens the selection of the best pictures got bigger and bigger, because not only I absolutely had to share Holly’s favourite images from just outside the walls of the Abbey – the stunning autumn colours shining through, I also could not possibly not share the pure and etherial images from the wedding ceremony itself (this glorious impression was achieved not least because of the spectacular floristry work by Red Floral Architecture. I also could not possibly miss the opportunity to show images of the beautifully presented His-and-Her’s cake – like you’ve never seen before by Fiona from Bespoke Celebrations Cakes. Then I realised I had to share the pictures of Holly’s shoes – she had three pairs lined up for the day, one was a pair of Laboutin Ombre sky-high heels – the gorgeous present from Ali.

And of course I had to include pictures of the happy family and guests, because as lovely as it is to have, the wedding is not about flowers, shoes and cakes – it is about people and love! As for all the extra trimmings, in the words of one of my wonderful brides Chris: “I’ll take it!”

Enjoy the pictures!,
